Description
Evo 5-speed transmissions are known for marginal 4th-gear oiling. Under sustained load (track days, long pulls, highway heat), 4th gear can run hot and become a common failure point. TRE (Team Rip Engineering) designed this billet adapter plate to put oil where it needs to go, right at the problem, while adding filtration help and the option to run an external transmission oil cooler.

Fitment
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV–IX equipped with the 5-speed W5M51 transmission.
- Does not fit 6-speed transmissions (including MR 6-speed applications) and does not apply to Evo X.
- If your car is a non-US market model or has been swapped, verify the transmission code before ordering.

Installation notes and instructions

- Ensure threaded holes are completely free of old sealant.
- Confirm the case mating surface is flat. If needed, use a thin film of a quality RTV (for example, Ultra Grey).
- Tighten bolts by hand carefully to ensure you do not strip the threads. Tighten similar to valve cover bolt torque.
