Dan’s back at it again and has purchased a new project car. This time, he swears he’s going to keep it for a while. The goal is to replace his wife’s Project Miata, which you can read about on MotoIQ. The car will be street oriented, with a dash of reliable, track day fun.
The car was purchased in Houston, TX, for under $10,000, but with nearly 140k miles on the clock! So far, it runs near perfectly, but the SST transmission is always a concern. We’ll be working on improved cooling, a proper tune, wheels, tires, suspension and more. Major updates will drop on MotoIQ, but we’ll keep you updated with mini updates from time to time.
The first order of business will be ditching the Cobb Accessport for a Whalen Speed R&D custom tune, but in order to do that, we need to make a few upgrades. We’ll be sticking with the companies we trust most on the Professional Awesome Evo racecar, which means an Extreme Turbos Systems intercooler and exhaust system are on the way! What do you think of the new car?
